Interactive Television Innovation - Broadband iTV

IMAGETEQ’s developed one of the first iTV applications in the United States for Broadband iTV.

Challenge

BBiTV wanted to build a state-of-the-art interactive television (iTV) application that could be integrated with a web application and launched on a Time Warner-affiliated site.

Approach

IMAGETEQ developed a web-accessible, web-based application to create and manage accounts of iTV Community customers, capture the customer-entered information for display to iTV viewers and calculate the cost and process the payment for iTV Community postings. It also allowed iTV Community data to be requested and displayed on the iTV sets of interactive television customers.

Result

A serious first - it was one of the first such applications in the United States, launched on the Oceanic Time Warner system in early 2005.
